The following list consists of all the cruelty-free brands we have vetted as cruelty-free based on our criteria, which can be found below. Its purpose is to help you shop truly cruelty-free no matter which products you need, and no matter what your budget is, anywhere and at any stores. You can use the filter to narrow the list based on your needs or preferences.
This list is for those who wish to avoid brands that test on animals or fund animal testing, and purchase only from the brands that have been vetted as cruelty-free. This means that the brands on our list have confirmed that no animal testing is performed on their finished products or ingredients during production, either by their company, their suppliers, or any third parties.
In order to ensure the brands we support do not put themselves at risk of animal testing, we do not consider brands that sell in China to be cruelty-free even if they use certain loopholes.

Our Criteria
All the brands found on this list were vetted to be cruelty-free, meaning:
- Finished Products: Their finished products are not tested on animals by the company or any other company.
- Ingredients: Their ingredients are not tested on animals by the company or any other company.
- Suppliers: Their suppliers do not test ingredients, raw materials, or finished products on animals.
- Third Parties: No third party is testing their finished products or ingredients animal on their behalf.
- Required by Law: They don’t test on animals where the law requires it, and are not sold in mainland China.

For example, you can look for cruelty-free hair care sold at Ulta, or choose to filter by skincare brands that are Leaping Bunny certified and 100% vegan and ship to your country, and so on. This system makes it easy to find cruelty-free brands that are tailored to you and your needs.

Have you heard of Formula 10.0.6? Everything I’m finding on line says it’s a cruelty free brand, and almost entirely vegan! They’re carried at Ulta and I just recently discovered them. I work as a brand rep now for Too Faced and First Aid Beauty, so I’m in Ultas, Sephoras and Macy’s now. I have found so many new lines to try!

Also, I’m having a heck of a time finding a “signature” fragrance for me. I used to wear Calvin Klein Euphoria but really any suggestions from you or anyone on this site would be helpful. Hi, Moroccanoil sells boar hair brushes. Their shampoos might be cruelty free but their brushes are not https://www.haarshop.nl/en/brands/moroccanoil/brushes
Hi there! I’m sorry if this has already been brought up, but have you looked in to Jeffree Star Cosmetics? It’s growing in popularity and they claim to be 100% vegan and cruelty-free (as well as paraben- and gluten-free so far). I don’t happen to know if they have any kind of certification, as they are still considered an indie brand. It does state in their FAQ on the website that, “We have also researched our manufactures and know 100% they don’t affiliate or get ingredients from places that are not cruelty-free!” Also, it states on each of their product listings that they are vegan, and they provide a list of ingredients for each product as well. If you wouldn’t mind checking it out, I would love to see them on this list because their products are absolutely wonderful and they deserve to be known more for making high-quality products without having to harm animals to do it (assuming that their claims are true, of course).

Hi there. I see a few folks have asked why Arbonne is not on the list. The company is both Vegan Certified and Cruelty Free. It has never tested on animals in its 36-year history. Can you please add it to your list? Love your website, BTW! (Full disclosure: I am an Arbonne Independent Consultant and one of the reasons I started my business was because of its commitment to being cruelty-free.)

Hmm, I just looked at Smashbox’s website, and although they say they will test when required by law, they also say they don’t sell in China or other countries that legally require animal testing? So it seems like a strange caveat to make:

I gathered up ALL of my unopened Avon products to donate tomorrow. Does anyone have information regarding Hempz Herbal Body Moisturizer and Body Wash? The back labels reads “100% Vegan.” I do like this product! No certification appears on the back label. Does anyone have up-to-date information regarding Boot’s No. 7? I just started using First Aid Beauty, and I do recommend this skin-care company. I shop for cosmetics at Ulta.

You should add Shea Moisture (PETA certified) and you should add Jeffree Star COsmetics (100% Vegan AND cruelty free).
