The following list consists of all the cruelty-free brands we have vetted as cruelty-free based on our criteria, which can be found below. Its purpose is to help you shop truly cruelty-free no matter which products you need, and no matter what your budget is, anywhere and at any stores. You can use the filter to narrow the list based on your needs or preferences.
This list is for those who wish to avoid brands that test on animals or fund animal testing, and purchase only from the brands that have been vetted as cruelty-free. This means that the brands on our list have confirmed that no animal testing is performed on their finished products or ingredients during production, either by their company, their suppliers, or any third parties.
In order to ensure the brands we support do not put themselves at risk of animal testing, we do not consider brands that sell in China to be cruelty-free even if they use certain loopholes.

Our Criteria
All the brands found on this list were vetted to be cruelty-free, meaning:
- Finished Products: Their finished products are not tested on animals by the company or any other company.
- Ingredients: Their ingredients are not tested on animals by the company or any other company.
- Suppliers: Their suppliers do not test ingredients, raw materials, or finished products on animals.
- Third Parties: No third party is testing their finished products or ingredients animal on their behalf.
- Required by Law: They don’t test on animals where the law requires it, and are not sold in mainland China.

I’ve been trying this brand of beauty products called Dr Botanicals from the UK. In it’s website it claimed to be cruelty free. Is there a reason why it’s not in your cruelty free list?
And the reason Nudestix is removed from your site is because they are sold in China now? I’ve read from another site that they manufacture their products there so they are not required to do tests? Is this true? Thanks.
That’s a bummer about Burt’s Bees. What about Nyx? Their packaging no longer says cruelty-free, nor has the Peta bunny on it, and is now made in China.

Decleor is cruelty free and products are vegan sadly owned by L’oreal. Cattier Paris is cruelty free however i don’t know there parent company or if they are vegan. Polaar are said to be cruelty free however they ship to china through qvc china and apparently that way they don’t need animal testing. Can’t seem to find anything on this if it is true if still cruelty free or not. Not sure about vegan either.
Lolita lempicka is now cruelty free, Peta france told me she stopped testing earlier this year, no longer sold to china. A brand people think is cruelty free is organic pharmacy they ship to china, just go on there website and it asks you to select a country, China is there. Liz Earle is now owned by Boots still not a cruelty free parent company. The body shop is no longer owned by L’oreal owned by some Brazilian company I think cruelty free not sure. I heard L’oreal wanted them to sell to China and they didn’t want to! So, pulled out. You need to update, lol

PHB Ethical Beauty.
No animal testing, ever and they do not sell in China. Also palm oil free,vegan,organic and no chemicals ect.
They also give back 20% of their profit towards charity.
I love this company´s dedication, a family business that is a inspiration.
I couldn’t see them on your list but wanted to add – Lime Crime are cruelty-free, and are PETA and Leaping Bunny certified.

Does anyone know why Nudestix is listed as being removed? I read the linked correspondence (posted 24 Sep 2016) and it seems like it checks out but it was removed from this post (03 Nov 2017)?
There is another post that lists Nudstix as cruelty free that was also posted on 03 Nov 2017…? I was looking into buying some of their products but now I’m very confused.

Nudestix is trying to retain their cruelty-free status while selling in China. To the best of my knowledge, this isn’t yet possible to achieve because of post-market testing. Long story short, they now sell products in physical stores in China.

I have a few brands that I am uncertain about. I’m sure that I’ve read on man sites that they are cf, but since I can’t fond them on either of your list I’m confused. The brands are: Violet Voss, Nabla, Juvia’s place and Lumene (logical harmony says on her site that lumene are not cf, or rather that they couldn’t give a straight answer so they can’t be on her list)

Karity Cosmetics is an amazing brand that is vegan and cruelty-free. I recently discovered them through a Facebook ad and I’m in love! The do high quality, highly pigmented eyeshadows and awesome brushes at affordable prices and you can only buy them from their website. They should definitely be on this list. BTW, I love them the list. I compare to it before I make any purchase ❤️

Yes they are! And most of their products are vegan not just a handful! Great brand.
They are cruelty free just wish they get approved I have asked them and it seems like they are refusing. Also can’t find much about parent company but it looks to be cruelty free.
Can you do a list regarding K-Beauty brands?
It Cosmetics CC cream includes snail secretions as the second ingredient. How is that cruelty free!?
I dont think brands should be cruelty free if not vegan or have certain animal ingredients. All products should be vegan or high majority or they can switch over. Brands with animal testing parent companies should not be cruelty free.

The Body Shop is now owned by Brazilian company, Natura Cosmetica. 🙂 L’Oreal sold to them in June 2017. Natura claims to be cruelty-free. Does not test their products on animals, nor use ingredients that have been tested on animals.

Hey, I just read that The Body Shop was sold to a Brazilian company called Natura. Natura’s website says they are a cruelty free company.
Joe Blasco is also cruelty free according to Peta and some of their products are vegan. L’oreal has sold The Body Shop to a brazilian eco cosmetics company called Natura. Do you know anything about that firm?
