The following list consists of all the cruelty-free brands we have vetted as cruelty-free based on our criteria, which can be found below. Its purpose is to help you shop truly cruelty-free no matter which products you need, and no matter what your budget is, anywhere and at any stores. You can use the filter to narrow the list based on your needs or preferences.
This list is for those who wish to avoid brands that test on animals or fund animal testing, and purchase only from the brands that have been vetted as cruelty-free. This means that the brands on our list have confirmed that no animal testing is performed on their finished products or ingredients during production, either by their company, their suppliers, or any third parties.
In order to ensure the brands we support do not put themselves at risk of animal testing, we do not consider brands that sell in China to be cruelty-free even if they use certain loopholes.
For brands that do test on animals, make sure to visit our list of Companies That Test On Animals.
Our Criteria
All the brands found on this list were vetted to be cruelty-free, meaning:
- Finished Products: Their finished products are not tested on animals by the company or any other company.
- Ingredients: Their ingredients are not tested on animals by the company or any other company.
- Suppliers: Their suppliers do not test ingredients, raw materials, or finished products on animals.
- Third Parties: No third party is testing their finished products or ingredients animal on their behalf.
- Required by Law: They don’t test on animals where the law requires it, and are not sold in mainland China.

Hello, I sell Natura and jafra in Mexico. Natura says it does not test animals like Jafra, but they did not appear on the list. I await a response, because if they do tests I’ll stop selling them,

Hi!
I’m a big fan of your work. You help me to understand what cruelty free really means. I consult your lists and I thought that would be nice to have one with best pets brands too! Just an idea 🙂
Thanks!
I was wondering why origins was on the list for companies that are not cruelty free because they say they are on there website?

Thanks for all your work on cruelty-free brands. Do you know if Wegman’s foaming hand soap is cruelty-free? They do say on the bottle “Not tested on animals”, but do you know if this is true? Thanks in advance.
Hi there! Curious why Arbonne isn’t on the list? I see they’re on PETA’s Beauty Without Bunnies list, as well as Vegan Action’s list as they’re a Certified Vegan company and one of the requirements is no animal testing. Thanks!
Hi! Do you know of any updates to The Body Shop since it’s no longer owned by L’Oreal?

Both are sold in china.
And Benefit?
Sold in china.
I recently went cruelty-free, but still get my ipsy bag and now have to decipher what is and what isn’t cruelty free. Do we know anything about the brands DLS (dirty little secret), MDMflow, and Sol de Janeiro? The first two are advertising via Instagram thay they’re cruelty-free and I read on another site that Sol de Janeiro was as well.
Thanks for the list it’s really useful! Just to be clear then, the brands with no symbols next to them, haven’t been proved to be cruelty free? You say “not affiliated with cruelty free organisations” so I assume so…?
The Body Shop was sold to Natura. It’s not owned by L’Oreal anymore. (Was sold in June).
Hey, why did you remove Nudestix from the list? You can find articles about the loophole they are using with China in order to stay cruelty-free! Thanks 🙂
Is Moroccan Oil Cruelty-Free? I thought they were selling to Mainland China. Just curious because I found some repair shampoo that has everything I need in it, but I don’t want to give them my money if they’re involved with animal testing.
