The following list consists of all the cruelty-free brands we have vetted as cruelty-free based on our criteria, which can be found below. Its purpose is to help you shop truly cruelty-free no matter which products you need, and no matter what your budget is, anywhere and at any stores. You can use the filter to narrow the list based on your needs or preferences.
This list is for those who wish to avoid brands that test on animals or fund animal testing, and purchase only from the brands that have been vetted as cruelty-free. This means that the brands on our list have confirmed that no animal testing is performed on their finished products or ingredients during production, either by their company, their suppliers, or any third parties.
In order to ensure the brands we support do not put themselves at risk of animal testing, we do not consider brands that sell in China to be cruelty-free even if they use certain loopholes.

Our Criteria
All the brands found on this list were vetted to be cruelty-free, meaning:
- Finished Products: Their finished products are not tested on animals by the company or any other company.
- Ingredients: Their ingredients are not tested on animals by the company or any other company.
- Suppliers: Their suppliers do not test ingredients, raw materials, or finished products on animals.
- Third Parties: No third party is testing their finished products or ingredients animal on their behalf.
- Required by Law: They don’t test on animals where the law requires it, and are not sold in mainland China.

Hello, do you know if Renpuré is cruelty free? I can’t find it anywhere listed on the PETA website and when I Google it, some people say it is/isn’t CF.

Weleda is apparently however they sell some products to china what apparently doesn’t need testing, says on their website. So, not sure check with peta or cruelty free international cant find anything about the other brand.

I don’t know why but I’ve left this comment a few times and it never shows up. I’ve seen you have Demeter listed as a bad company. Is this demeter fragrance library? If so what makes them not cruelty free? Their policy seems pretty straightforward and I’ve emailed them. Their answer would make them cruelty free. Products and ingredients are never tested on animals at any point… So what gives with the “cruel” label?
Demeter sells in China, where animal testing is required by law.

Has anyone been able to look into Body Shop recently? As of June 2017 L’Oreal sold them! They are now owned by a Brazilian company, Natura, they are supposedly on the Brazilian cruelty free list but not registered with Leaping Bunny or PETA. Anyone know any specifics on if they are good to use now or not?

I heard it was produced by the same manufacturer than Anastasia Beverly hills so it says that it’s cruelty free and some products are also vegan ! Furthermore, Rihanna is launching her line and I saw on a vegan website that it might be cruelty free but we are waiting for more informations ! Thanks for your help 🙂
All brands listed are cruelty free. Not 100% vegan though but kylie has nearly all vegan compared to the others.

Hey, I’m wondering if you’ve heard of Shiro Cosmetics? They’re apparently cruelty free, and most of their products are vegan. I’ve bought a couple things from them, and I think they’d be a pretty good addition to this list! They’ve also got pretty good prices, and a fun, nerdy themes.

She’s actually a celebrity hair stylist who just came out with her own line (her clients include Lauren Conrad, Lucy Hale, Jenna Dewan Tatum, etc). I especially love the texturizing spray which has been compared to Oribe’s but is way way way cheaper (1/3 of the price)!

In looking at one supermarket (my favourite which I won’t name) on their health and beauty shelves, I have to say that only approximatley one third of all of them are cruelty-free. The rest do not have the bunny picture! I have to say it is annoying to have to actually pick up a product and look on the back of it in terms of reading the labels. One product had the bunny drawing on the front (awesome) – clever.
