The following list consists of all the cruelty-free brands we have vetted as cruelty-free based on our criteria, which can be found below. Its purpose is to help you shop truly cruelty-free no matter which products you need, and no matter what your budget is, anywhere and at any stores. You can use the filter to narrow the list based on your needs or preferences.
This list is for those who wish to avoid brands that test on animals or fund animal testing, and purchase only from the brands that have been vetted as cruelty-free. This means that the brands on our list have confirmed that no animal testing is performed on their finished products or ingredients during production, either by their company, their suppliers, or any third parties.
In order to ensure the brands we support do not put themselves at risk of animal testing, we do not consider brands that sell in China to be cruelty-free even if they use certain loopholes.

Our Criteria
All the brands found on this list were vetted to be cruelty-free, meaning:
- Finished Products: Their finished products are not tested on animals by the company or any other company.
- Ingredients: Their ingredients are not tested on animals by the company or any other company.
- Suppliers: Their suppliers do not test ingredients, raw materials, or finished products on animals.
- Third Parties: No third party is testing their finished products or ingredients animal on their behalf.
- Required by Law: They don’t test on animals where the law requires it, and are not sold in mainland China.

For example, you can look for cruelty-free hair care sold at Ulta, or choose to filter by skincare brands that are Leaping Bunny certified and 100% vegan and ship to your country, and so on. This system makes it easy to find cruelty-free brands that are tailored to you and your needs.

Hey! I don’t see the brand Amie on here. I believe it’s both cruelty free and vegan. I really like their morning gentle cleanser! ?? Also, I read somewhere else that Le Couvent Des Minimes is selling in China, so that would mean they do have to test?!
09/07/2018 – NYX is not a cruelty-free brand. Just went to a store of theirs and representative confirmed not all their products are cruelty-free. Some are actually made in China, and we all know what that means…
I’m shock to read that you have not listed LimeLife by Alcone to this list – all of their skin care is Leaping Bunny certified and alot of the makekup is also as well.

A newish British brand, Bleach, is cruelty-free and also vegan, I think. They do hair products and, more recently, make up. Could they be added? Great to have cruelty free hair dye!

Suzi, I love cats as well. During the summer months, I like wearing an ocean/sea fragrance and using the matching body lotion, soap, etc. I purchased Laline Ocean while visiting San Francisco last year; I was told that this brand is CF by the sales representative. Do any other CF brands feature such an ocean scent? I avoid brands that are owned by parent companies that animal test. Thank you so much for your ongoing research. I have purchased some wonderful CF products because of your knowledgable Website.
I’m curious about the brand Plur. Kristen Leanne is partnered with them and all of her makeup tutorials are cruelty free. From what she has reported, they should be able to make it on the list. Thanks for all your hard work! I have this list open every time I shop!
Method is now owned by sc Johnson so could be argued that it is now not cruelty free. I know a local eco friendly/vegan shop has stopped stocking it because of this

Is anyone else experiencing issues with the ‘search’ button above? I just tried filtering by vegan, then by organic, then palm-oil-free, then by cruelty-free parent co. and though the list seemed to refresh each time, no results show for any of these.
Please let me know if this is still an issue as it should be working! I’ve tested it in multiple browsers and there were no problems. Do you have java enabled?

The body shop has been sold and is now owned by Natura- same cruelty free owners of Aesop xx

Is The Body Shop really owned by Lorel ? I shop there offen and have spoken to a cashier there who told me they don’t deal with any parent companies that test on animals.
I think The Body Shop should be removed from the list as they do sell in China.
