At Cruelty-Free Kitty, we reach out to new brands weekly in order to find out their animal testing policy. Based on their response, we classify them are either "cruelty-free," "not cruelty-free," or "grey area." Only brands that are able to answer all our questions and fulfill our cruelty-free criteria are considered cruelty-free. Below are the brands we've added to the database last quarter.

Spread the word.

The Cruelty-Free 5: Our Criteria

All brands that we classify as cruelty-free have confirmed the following:

  • Their company doesn't test finished products or ingredients on animals
  • Their suppliers don't test finished products or ingredients on animals
  • No third parties test their finished products or ingredients on their behalf
  • They do not test on animals where required by law
  • Their products are not sold in stores in countries that require animal testing

This is THE best cruelty free database that is available to consumers, specifically because it is not ALWAYS consistently updated, but there is more investigation regarding parent companies that test outside ofnrhe United States but are still reflective of the brand claiming to be’cruelty-free’. Simply, these deceptive practices are brought to light via the in-depth analysis of the site creator . For decades, I ba e conducted my own research to try to find the answers that are quickly made available here to consumers. Impressive and relevant, I encourage consumers to utilize this site as a resource for choosing anti-cruelty products, as it is online when consumers act collectively for the common good that large and small companies alike, will make significant shifts to stand as cruelty-free. Thank you for this resource, again!!
