Boscia Is Now Cruelty-Free! What You Need To Know

by Suzana Rose

Feb 15, 2021

It's official! Boscia has pulled out of mainland China, and no longer tests on animals anywhere in the world. We are happy to remove Boscia from the grey area, and move them to the list of cruelty-free brands. The brand has gradually made its way from the companies that test on animals, to the grey area, to the cruelty-free list.

Spread the word.

Until 2020, Boscia was selling in China and testing on animals where required by law. The brand was not considered cruelty-free. In 2020, there was a change in Boscia's policy, however we weren't able to get their full answers to our questions.

Recently, Boscia gained Leaping Bunny certification, which means the brand has agreed to comply with any audits that the Leaping Bunny programme could conduct to make sure there's no animal testing on Boscia's products or ingredients.

In addition to that, our contact in China reached out to Boscia and they have confirmed that all products sold by Boscia in mainland China are no longer sold there, and the brand has officially pulled out of the market.

For all these reasons, we're happy to finally add Boscia to our list of cruelty-free brands.
