Social media influencer Julie Sariñana (a.k.a Jules) drew upon her passion for fashion to launch a vegan and cruelty-free nail polish brand called "Color Dept." Not only does Jules fuse her love of fashion with nail care to create a series of vibrant nail polish colours, but she also incorporates her experiences working as a front desk salon manager in a nail Salon in Los Angeles and techniques of self-care to create vibrant colours that are: sustainable, non-toxic, cruelty-free, vegan, and healthy for nails.

The brand replaces conventional solvents, plasticizers and nitrocellulose with ingredients such as corn and wheat. To top it off, the brand makes colour such as "Grape Soda" and "Strawberry Jam" out of fruits and veggies--a smoothie for your nails!

You can confidently wear Color Dept.'s polishes knowing that they're truly cruelty-free. We reached out to the brand to confirm that they fulfill the Cruelty-Free Kitty criteria. They have confirmed that they don't test on animals for either finished products or ingredients, and neither do their suppliers or any third-parties, anywhere in the world.

Color Dept.'s polishes are also Leaping-Bunny certified and PETA-approved.

You can check out their website for more information on which sweet and vibrant colours you can buy today.
