Keep reading to find out more about the goodies in the June/July Box!
The Love Goodly boxes are shipped out every other month, and they go for $29.95 each with free shipping to the continental US. With every box, Love Goodly also gives back to an amazing cause like Farm Sanctuary or Beagle Freedom Project.
This box came with a value of $89 worth of products (if everything were to be purchased separately) and the cause it supports is Farm Sanctuary, which rescues and protects farm animals from cruelty. While $89 is quite a bit less than the value of the April/May Box ($115+), it is still a really good value considering the box price of $29.95. Here’s what’s inside:
- Kat Von D Beauty Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in Lovecraft ($20 value)
- Faby Nail Polish in assorted summer colors ($12 value)
- Gemtye Custom Heart Bracelet and Hair Tie ($28 value)
- Fred + Far Trillion Pin ($12 value)
- New Chapter Perfect Hair, Skin & Nails ($17 value)
I was very pleased with the contents of the April/May Box and I wasn't sure that the next one would be able to live up to my expectations! That being said, I am definitely excited about the items in the June/July Box and feel like all of these items are different enough from the last box to keep it new and fresh.
As teased in my post about the April/May Love Goodly Box, this box includes an Everlasting Lipstick from Kat Von D in the shade “Lovecraft”, which has a value of $20 (almost the price of the entire box). It is a gorgeous neutral mauve pink nude shade, perfect for a multitude of skin tones. I think this shade is a great choice to include in the box since it is so universally flattering. I already know and love Kat Von D's liquid lipsticks, but I didn't have this shade so I am definitely happy to add this one to my collection!
I'd never heard of the Faby Nail Polish brand before but I'm always down to try new polishes since I usually do my nails myself, which can sometimes get boring if I use the same polishes over and over. Love Goodly sent out a variety of "assorted summer colors" in the boxes and I received the shade "Save the Drive-In" which is a super dark metallic navy. While this shade doesn't seem particularly "summery" to me, I don't mind at all since I love dark nail polish colors year round. Best of all, the Faby polishes are "Big 5-free", and they contain no DBP, Toluene, Formaldehyde, Formaldehyde Resin, or Camphor, and no TPHP, no Paraben and no Xylene. Basically, they are a lot less toxic for you to breathe in while painting your nails. I especially appreciate this since whatever I do, my dog is usually not too far behind me, breathing in the same things.
The box also includes a fun Gemtye Bracelet/Hair Tie, which is perfect for those of us who are always wearing a hair tie on our wrists. Love Goodly sent these out in both black and turquoise, and I am definitely happy I received the black one since it fits in perfectly with my all-black-all-the-time NYC wardrobe. It is definitely a step up visually from my trusty Goody hair ties, and is nice to have on hand when working out! It is a bit tight on my wrist, so I wouldn't recommend wearing it on your wrist for long periods of time or it will leave behind a temporary red ring. I will probably stick to using this one as a hair tie only.
When I first opened the box I saw the Fred + Far Trillion Pin on top and I got super excited since I collect pins and patches. Enamel pins are certainly all the rage right now so I think including one in the box is an excellent choice. I also love that it is meant to represent self love! I will definitely be adding this one to my denim patch jacket.
Good vegan supplements can be hard to find so I look forward to trying these from New Chapter. I haven't been trying this one out long enough to report on its effectiveness, but again I appreciate the broader focus on beauty from the inside out rather than just products for external and superficial beauty! I would love to know in the comments if you have found any vegan supplements that you swear by.
Overall, I am definitely happy with the contents of the June/July Box, and I still think these boxes are a great option if you are looking to try some new cruelty-free and vegan products, but you're not quite sure where to start!
