Milani is cruelty-free! They signed PETA’s cruelty-free claim and don’t sell in China. As of October 2014, Milani is also Leaping Bunny-certified. This is their e-mail confirmation:

Hi Kitty,

Since we are officially certified as cruelty-free by PETA that means we do not test our products on animals at any point during production, we do not buy ingredients or have any other business relationships with others who practice animal cruelty, and our products are not sold in China or any other place that requires animal testing by law.

Milani Cosmetics is a cruelty-free brand. We do not test our products on animals, nor do we allow others to test on our behalf. Additionally, we require our suppliers to certify that the raw materials used in the manufacture of our products are not tested on animals. Our Brand is certified by both PETA and The Leaping Bunny Program (CCIC) as cruelty-free.
