Ohii

Details

Ohii is a brand owned by Urban Outfitters. Although they claim to be "cruelty-free", they refused to provide any additional information about their animal testing policy. They did not provide any information about their ingredients, suppliers, third-party animal testing, or whether or not they're sold in China or test on animals where required by law. It's also important to note that Urban Outfitters has a presence in China and holds inventory there. They're also currently expanding their presence: "We plan to establish a larger presence [in China] by mid-next year. To do this we will switch to the much larger Tmall Classic platform, hold inventory in-country and fulfill orders through a third-party service provider in China. In addition, we plan to sign leases for several stores to open in calendar year 2020.” This means that Ohii might be tested on animals where required by law, although this was never confirmed by the brand. This is the statement we received:
"Thanks for getting back to us regarding our Ohii brand. I have confirmed that these products are Cruelty-free. We do not test on animals in any way, shape, or form. Unfortunately, this is the only information I can provide you. Hope this helps, and have a great day!"
