Kristin Ess is not completely vegan. However, they are taking steps to revise some formulas that still have animal-derived ingredients. This is their statement:
“We are revising our formulas that are not vegan to be vegan. Sadly, not all of our products are vegan and this is due to the hydrolyzed keratin present in their formulations. We are in the middle of reformulating these products to make them vegan. However, we can confirm that our European versions are vegan!”
