  • Hi, I’ve just stumbled across this article and I hope you could help me to clear something out. I try my best to buy only cruelty-free items, but sometimes it can be hard since I live in SE Europe, where this matter is not spoken about. But I’ve always relied on Essence product because there are one of my fave brands since high school. A year ago, I bought their Born Awesome pallete and just now realised that on the back of it, it says “made in PRC”. I don’t think it’s some kind of knock off because I bought it in store that specifically sells cosmetics and even has some high end and luxurious stuff. I also checked some of my other Essence products and they are all made in Germany. Hope this explanation wasn’t too long and you’ll be able to help me clarify this situation. Thanks 😊

    • Hi! Made in PRC = Made in China, which does not mean it’s tested on animals! Only if products are sold in China do they risk being tested on animals. Hope this helps!
