While rumors about the brand pulling out of mainland China and becoming cruelty-free emerged in 2016, we can finally confirm that, as of 2021, Stila has received its Leaping Bunny certification!
Stila’s achievement of Leaping Bunny certification is important in demonstrating to the brand’s consumers that they have policies in place to support their cruelty-free claims.
Specifically, in being cruelty-free and Leaping Bunny certified, Stila confirms that
(1) they do not test any of their finished products or ingredients on animals
(2) they do not ask others such as their suppliers or third-parties to do so on their behalf and
(3) they no longer distribute their products in mainland China or any countries where testing on animals is required by law
