Kidman says she was drawn to VEGAMOUR because of the efficacy of its products, but also because of its ethos: it relies on plant-based, organically-grown, fairtrade ingredients that don’t harm the earth.
“Once I learned about where they source ingredients and how they are supporting those communities through ethical harvesting, I knew that I wanted to support that mission,” Kidman said in a statement.
As well as being vegan and environmentally aware, VEGAMOUR is also certified cruelty-free by Cruelty Free Kitty. This means we have confirmed that the brand passes our strict criteria: it doesn’t test any products or ingredients on animals, and neither do any of its suppliers and third parties.
Plus, as an independent brand, it doesn’t have a parent company that tests on animals either.
The actor’s investment will help the vegan hair brand to expand its line of products around the world. It has already launched in 400 Sephora stores, and plans to enter the UK, European, Chinese, and Australian markets this year too.
According to VEGAMOUR’s CEO Dan Hodgdon, he knew as soon as he met Kidman that she was the right person to partner with and represent the brand.
“We're aligned across the board,” he said. “From the importance of a natural, holistic approach to optimal hair wellness, to our focus on sustainability, biodiversity, social impact, and product efficacy."
