Rouge Bunny Rouge is cruelty-free and doesn’t test on animals at any point of production. Their products are manufactured within the EU, and they’ve confirmed that their finished products aren’t sold anywhere where animal testing is required by law.

Here’s the claim on their website:

Do you or a third party test your products on animals?
We do not test our products and ingredients on animals and neither do our producers.

Below is my correspondence with them, with all questions regarding their cruelty-free status answered. The questions I asked them are in bold.

Dear Suzi,

Many thanks for your message. We’d be honoured being listed on your list of cruelty-free beauty companies, many thanks for your consideration! Please allow us to answer your questions below:

You state: “We do not test our products and ingredients on animals and neither do our producers.”

Are your products sold in any market that requires mandatory animal testing, such as China? Are your products tested on animals in Russia?

No, we don’t cooperate with any resellers in countries requiring animal testing, such as China. Our products aren’t tested on animals in Russia, either (we are a UK company based in London afterall and our products are manufactured in the EU where animal testing is banned).

Could you please tell me where your products are manufactured?

Our make-up and skincare products are manufactured in Germany, UK and Italy and our perfumes are manufactured in France.

Lastly, if your company is cruelty-free and does not test on animals, could you please tell me since when you’ve implemented a no-animal-testing policy or stopped testing on animals?

We have never been testing on animals in the past and have always had a no-animal-testing policy. Furthermore, to ensure that our manufacturers don’t test on animals, we have animal non-testing declarations of all our producers.

Please let us know if you have any other questions, we are happy to help.

Warm regards,
Rouge Bunny Rouge Customer Service

  • This is great news!
I think the RBR eyeshadow “Sweet Dust Seriema” is going to be my Christmas present to me, from me.
I wish it cost less, but I keep hearing my own voice insisting, “I don’t mind paying more for cruelty-free.”
So I guess I’ll do it!
