Jane cosmetics are cruelty-free. They’re on PETA’s cruelty-free brands list, and the following is my correspondence with them:
Thank you for contacting jane cosmetics customer care. We would like to inform you that none of the products or ingredients have been tested on animals and that we adhere to a very strict no animal testing policy. We choose vendors that follow the same business standards as ours when it comes to animal testing. Our products are only sold in the United States and are not sold in China.

This cruelty-free claim is also on their website:
Are Jane products animal cruelty free/vegan free?
Jane Cosmetics is on the PETA’s cruelty free shopping guide and none of the products or ingredients have been tested on animals. Jane adheres to a very strict no animal testing policy.
They don’t, however, say anything about being vegan, even though they address the issue.
