does BY TERRY test on animals

IMPORTANT EDIT: By Terry started selling in China since this article was written, and they’re no longer cruelty-free.

The luxury brand By Terry is cruelty-free and does not test on animals when it comes to finished products or ingredients, nor do their suppliers test on animals on their behalf. By Terry is sold only in Hong Kong and not in mainland China. You can take a look at their worldwide shop map here. They’re also an independent company and are not owned by a parent company that tests on animals.

Here’s an e-mail from a representative:

Do the products contain animal ingredients?

Suzi Scheler

They have vegan options but not all products are vegan. They also use carmine in some makeup.

Thank you Suzi; do you know if I’m able to get a list of vegan products or do I have to email them and ask about specific products? Thank you in advance 🙂

Suzi Scheler

They don’t have much information on their website, so you’d have to e-mail them to make sure! Hopefully they’ll send you a list.

i just checked their website and they DO sell in China according to their store list so NO, THEY ARE NOT CRUELTY FREE
